The wellness challenges are designed to be fun activities that encourage you to maintain or adopt a healthy behavior while you compete against fellow employees. Challenges can either be individual or group-based participation. Participants earn reward points as milestones are completed. There are a variety of challenges available. Overall, the objective of a challenge is to help you achieve your health goal while having fun.
Accessing Your Challenges
Log in and navigate to the Blue Cross member portal and do the following:
- Select “Skip to Dashboard” (see bottom of the page)
- Hover mouse over Left-Hand Panel of Icons
- Hover mouse over "My Health & Care Team tab" - Click "Achieve Well-Being Rewards" where you can review the Program and Challenges
- Scroll down to “Your Programs and Challenges”
- You will see buttons for “Upcoming”, “Active”, and “History”
- IMPORTANT: You will see what current challenges you are enrolled in under Active
- Click upcoming challenges that are Now open for enrollment
- Click on the challenge showing under Upcoming Challenge
- If the member is not enrolled in the challenge, you should see “Register Now” link.
- Register for each challenge separately.

"Walk It Out" Challenge
The “Walk It Out” challenge encourages you to walk outside for 20 minutes a day for 3 days each week of the four-week challenge. You must track your activity to a minimum of three days a week, for a total of at least 60 minutes each week, for all four weeks of the challenge to earn 10 credits.
"Sweat Sessions" Challenge
The “Sweat Sessions” recommend 30 minutes of exercise a day for overall health. Break it up into two 15-minute sessions or three 10-minute sessions if it helps you achieve this target. Try a variety of activities to find which you like best. This could include, but is not limited to activities, activities such as walking, group exercise, strength training, and yardwork. Join the Sweat Session Challenge to increase your activity. You must track your activity for all four weeks of the challenge to earn 10 credits.
- Registration Begins: Monday, March 16th
- Challenges Begin: Monday, March 30th
- Registration Ends: Thursday, April 2nd
- Challenges End: Sunday, April 26th
- Update Activity: Friday, May 1st
