Outstanding Owls - New Staff Recognition Program
We all know that Temple Employees are the best…hardworking, collaborative, and always willing to go the extra mile. Although this work is always appreciated, sometimes it can feel as though it goes unnoticed.
To recognize the exemplary performance of Temple staff, HR is excited to announce Temple University's new staff recognition program, Outstanding Owls. The Outstanding Owls Program allows employees to recognize and nominate colleagues for the everyday actions that embody the spirit of employment at Temple.
Nominated staff will be recognized for outstanding performance in one of four categories:
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Customer Service
- Above and Beyond
How to nominate an Outstanding Owl
- Log in to TUportal (tuportal.temple.edu/)
- Select "Staff Tools" tab
- Scroll down to "University Forms"
and type "Human Resources" in the "Search:" field box
- Choose Employee Recognition Request
- Under "Menu Options", select "Create New" to submit your nomination
Quarterly, beginning July 1, 2022, committees of representatives from HR and other departments, schools and colleges across the university will review all nominations and select an Outstanding Owl for recognition in one of the four categories listed above.
Winners in each category will be eligible for a selection of rewards to be announced.
All nominees will be notified via email and recognized in the TUportal Spotlight. Selected winners will receive a reward and will be mentioned in the TUportal spotlight and in the tHRive newsletter.
