Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) is a federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Education that forgives a borrower’s remaining federal student loan debt after a total of 10 years of working in public service.
Public service includes work for a local, state, tribal, or federal government or nonprofit organization. You must work 30 hours per week or more in qualifying public service to qualify. Employment at Temple University is a qualifying employer for PSLF.

To count your employment at Temple University toward PSLF, you must certify your employment with a federal form. Using the U.S. Department of Education’s PSLF Help Tool is recommended because you can send your PSLF directly to Temple University for a digital signature. Our employer email address is: [click-for-email].
Borrowers will enter their Employer Identification Number(s) of their qualifying employer(s). Temple University’s Employer Identification Number is 231365971.
Borrowers must also enter the correct dates of employment. If you are unsure of your start or end dates, email [click-for-email]
